Day two of not being in Yosemite.
Still feeling bummed about missing the snow in the Sierras, I headed out to find a little winter wonderland around here. I ended up at Vallco to go ice skating at the indoor rink. It had been awhile since I had been on skates, since the Girl Scouts I think, so I was a little wobbly starting out. I hung on the side and sort of pushed myself half way around the rink, until I got comfortable. Then I ventured out onto the ice. Eventually I got into the groove, and glided around the rink with ease. After an hour my ankles were killing me, but I'm proud to report that I did not fall down once.
After turning in my skates, I headed over to the movie theatres and watched Enchanted. I figured I had burned enough calories with iceskating to enjoy a box of junior mints and poporn...no sharing.
