Working smart with time off to play...

That is the REI motto. I was so tempted to fill out an application*. Last week it was Whole Foods Market, this week REI. The pak 'n sav around our house is hiring too, but perhaps I'm not that desperate.

It's not that I don't love being a librarian. Storytime is great, and my library peeps are so fun to hang with. But there are other things in my life that I want to do. Or maybe it's just that I want the time off to do them.

Triathalons, CCCX races, Downieville, Mammoth, Cougar Mountain, cyclocross; all on the weekends. Races, training rides, people to ride with; I'm missing out. So it's time to turn this situation around. No way am I going to look back in a few years, and say "I wish I could have done that, but I had to work."

Working smart. With time off to play. Sounds good to me!

*but I'm not working in the rock climbing department, because rock climbing is a stupid sport.

Now if I can only find the actually courage to do it, and not just WISH that I did it! :)

Judith is bringing in her tri bag for you. Are you going to be at church on Sunday? Or when do you want me to get it to you? Wildflower is coming up sooo soon!
