The sock with many errors is finished...
Modeling the sock in his sleep is Brian.
Him: "Wha?...What are you doing?"
Me: '"Just putting a pink sock on your foot and taking a picture."
Him: "snore"
The heel turned out nicely. We'll not talk of the rest of the seams that ended up in strange places not conducive to sock wearing.
So what else? Well, after careful consideration of what to knit next I decided to move on from socks. I'm not a sock person. I don't wear socks. And on the occasions that I do wear socks they don't match and sometimes they aren't clean. This is just how I roll...deal with it.
So next I tackled a hat. I couldn't figure out how to get Brian to wear this in his sleep, so I just sort of propped it up and took a picture. It's a very cute hat. Also, possibly, in a pinch, a tea cozy.
I also made wrist warmers. These are clever little things, in that you don't have to knit individual fingers! They slip on over the wrists, and your finger are free for eating, and scratching and picking your nose if that's the way you roll?
Brian has also suggested they are useful if you are Wonder Woman and blocking bullets with your wrists. I refrained from poking him with my knitting needle.
Today is my day off, and as usual I am ignoring my to do list and hanging out in front of the window watching the birdies on the patio and blogging. I love days off.
Today is my "long ride" day. I have a sneaking suspicion that this might not happen. It is also my "go to the knitting store and REI as a reward for training hard this week" day. That seems contradictory, but I have trained hard this week. I ran, and I rode the trainer and I ran some more, and I rode some more. I have not yet figured out how to knit while riding on the trainer...but if I ever do...oh man, I'd be set for century training.
Okay, off to start my day!
Peace!

That ties it: I break out my old knitting needles when I get back from Paris, seeing your great work has inspired me!
Jackie-I think more than anything I like playing around with the yarn. I enjoy the textures and different colors, and putting them together in fun color combinations. Lord knows it's not because I need another hat or a mitten. :/
