The best thing about a day off is there is no schedule (she says as she makes yet another cup of tea).
In the daily news: Emma the cat keeps attacking the sofa. She takes a flying leap from the floor, then scurries around the cushions in a desperate effort to keep the sofa in its place. As far as I know, the sofa has never ventured from the spot where it was originally placed when I moved in, yet, Emma is vigilant. And, I suppose, the sofa is sufficiently cowed.
Several birds at the feeder this morning; the cute litte yellow ones, and the big nasty bossy ones. Perhaps one of these days I'll actually get a bird book and identify them. Or not. Whatever happened to birds of a feather flock together? Can't the ugly birds flock somewhere else?
My major dilemma: do I go to the yarn store before I go for a ride, or do I go AFTER my ride. I have the next couple of days off (my what a perfect time to go to Yosemite-goodness, someone should have planned that vacation for the weekend when there wasn't actually a blizzard going on. Sigh.) so my plan is to do whatever I want, when I want, with the least amount of effort possible.
