how many blankets...

does it take to finally get warm around here?

Went running late afternoon and the cool air felt good. I like running at dusk, when house lights are coming on, and kids are heading home from school. I like watching the moms gather the kids from the park at dinnertime, and see the dads arrive home from work. It's especially nice to run this time of year because the air is damp and smells like leaves and woodsmoke and all kinds of fallish things. And too, people are beginning to put their Christmas lights up. I like to run in the neighborhood at dusk, crunching leaves underfoot; looking at the houses all lit up, each one like a little stage where life's drama takes place.

It was a good run, but I'm still cold. Fozzie and I are going to search for more blankets. And I think a fire in the fireplace might be in order. It's a chilly night.

Fozzie cat is watching us, while we watch TV. I wonder if she wishes she could change the channel?
