Went to Soquel and hung out at the Surf City Cyclocross race. The costume race is always fun!

What I sometimes feel like on my bike.

Next year...I always say that...I'm going to race the costume cross.

After Surf City we went to De Lavega Park and rode our mountain bikes. I have a new toy on my bike. It's called a gravity dropper and by clicking a switch on my handlebar I can make my seat go up or down, which is handy, depending if I'm climbing or descending. It was so fun riding yesterday and trying out the gravity dropper. The trails at DeLavega have some roots and drops, and a lot of going downhill but without too much climbing. I definitley want to ride there again. The gravity dropper saved me a lot of time in fusting with my seat post.

After that we went to Natural Bridges Park, and I walked down the Monarch Path to see the butterflies. I've never been to Natural Bridges before; I'd like to go back and play in the beach.

It was a good day, we did a lot of riding and had fun.

This morning I ran on the treadmill even though it was nice out, just to give my legs a break. I don't know when my next race is going to be, I guess I'm all raced out for the year.

You know you still owe me a Halloween ride right? Maybe you can do it with us too Elaine! Of course, this would have to be next year.
