My first case. I knew I had to start somewhere; but ducks? I suspected fowl play. (And yes, I had to say that.) I packed up my backpack with the essentials; camera, bike lock, baseball cap, map, and a pack of half eaten oreos. I was ready for anything.
Corner of Benton. Suspicious red car, but no ducks.
Down the street it all became clear. All signs pointed to fowl play. (I probably didn't have to say that, but I couldn't help myself).
I parked my bike and wandered around a bit trying to act casual. Or as casual as you can be with bike helmet, backpack and GPS in hand.
Due to my brilliant deductive skills I finally unearthed my first cache. Unfortunately for me I couldn't quite reach the magnet and when I did, I knocked it off into the grass so I spent the next five minutes on my knees looking for it while still trying to act casual.
No worries though, I finally retrieved it. Success!
Feeling good about my first find I decided to tackle another, more complicated cache. A ring of three caches called the Saratoga Creek Overlook.
I headed towards cache number 1 at Kasier. There was no way to act casual with ambulance drivers, and policemen milling about. Not to mention several older people with canes who gave me a dirty look as I circled the parking lot on my bike. I decided to move on.
Cache #2 led me here:
I spent fifteen minutes walking back and forth, peering down into the creek bed trying to figure out if I was on the right side of the road. My clue was to stay "high and dry" but no luck. It was also time for the kids to get out of school and so the mommy brigade was out in full force, and I was drawing to much attention to myself. I decided to come back later in the evening.
So my first time out geocaching, 1 find-2 losses. Not bad.

For some reason I am expecting to see a lot more posts from you on this subject.
While you are out and about searching for treasure I am at work, without any Coke, and I am in charge tonight for some reason and everyone is going to Shells today. I am bored and I am on my break. You can imagine how boring work is...boo hoo for me. less than 6 hours to go.
Too much "Web Files" for you. BTW, you should have put "ducktective" skills. You're slippin' baby.
Stop whining Brian. At least you don't have your mean boss around.
