X-treme downhill action!!!!

Or really not so much.

I rode at Carlmont today, and got to be all tough biker chick with my fullface helmet and pads. I did okay. I probably wouldn't rate a Mountain Dew commercial, probably more like Crystal Light. But I didn't embarass myself, and I did catch a little bit of air, so that's cool.

Carlmont isn't really a trail, it's more of a huge downhill dirt path that leads you from jump to jump. And since I can maybe only hit 1 1/2 jumps there, I'm more concerned with being able to ride the gravely, rocky, off camber stuff. And I didn't do so well today. I was hoping I'd improved from this past spring, but I kept picking the wrong lines. I couldn't ride down the bottom section, or the two short steep hills. I don't think that bodes well for my downhill race on Sunday.

More X-treme cross country action!!!!

My friend Elaine and I rode at Arastradero yesterday. Elaine is a mountain bike chick at heart. She has great fitness, and she rode over some tough stuff yesterday like a pro. It must have been her oh so stylish camel back she was sporting. Arastradero was fun. It was the first time I've ever heard a coyote laughing. I hope it wasn't laughing at us!

Stay tuned for X-treme skateboarding action tomorrow!!!!

I'm glad you put the skateboard together. Missed you at the lake today but I had a good swim. 8 laps. I could have done more because I wasn't tired. Hungry as usual.
