veggie wraps

Six Six One makes knee pads called veggie wraps. I like them, but they make me hungry.

I have to start wearing knee pads. Not because I've fallen off my bike lately, but because I keep bashing my knee into the handlebar. Ow.

I bounced the chain off my bike doing a bunnyhop yesterday. It came off completey, then got twisted around the pedal. It took me an hour to get it fixed. How weird is that?

This week I've been riding down stairs. I did my first full flight up at Alum Rock Park, then found more stairs at the local highschool to ride. The bikegod doesn't believe me because I don't have a photo documentation.

I discovered that riding in my
skort is very comfortable and now I want a pink and blue one.

I really have to get a bicycle repair stand. Having my husband hold the seat of the bike while I try to adjust the chain is not working out.

If you had a 100 dollar credit at a bike store, plus all purchases are tax free for a year, what would you buy?

The Juliana is back in the shop having her shock repaired AGAIN.

A year ago this Memorial Day weekend I bought my first mountain bike, a Specialized Rockhopper. I've been riding it a lot lately since my other bike is in the shop and I discovered that I still love my Rockhopper. It's such a solid, get the job done kind of bike.

Three day weekend coming up and I'm spending it on wheels. How about you all?

Yum veggie wraps! I'm free Monday night for a ride. Are you going to have it? Hey, will you have a spare bike for my friend that weekend?

My elbow pads are called chicken wings. I feel like I should be on the menu at Applebee's.

Monday night ride is a yes at Alum Rock Park, and yes you may borrow the Giant for the weekend. :) You and Wes want to mtb ride after work on Saturday with me and possibly Kurt? I'm going to go over to Arastradero. I think you would like it, I promise to go easy. :)

So I take it we won't be doing open water on Monday morning. Probably just as well, it might be heck of packed at Shadow Cliffs on account of the holiday. I PLANNED to go to master's swim this morning but Timmy was sick last night so he stayed home today and I was home with him and my Mom's watching him right now. Went to the swim shop to get goggles and cap but was pressed for time to pick up kids so left shop empty handed (surprise, surprise). PLANNING to run at Rancho tomorrow but Timmy might still have to stay home. Hey, not my fault. I plan to do serious training but something always comes up!

Shadowcliffs will be very busy Sunday and Monday I would think. I'm actually going to Masters swim on Thursday morning. Something about there being a tri coming up in June?!?

100 dollars worth of tubes? Whoa. I was thinking more along the lines of a full face helmet, but tubes are good. :)

Hey! Who said anything about an openwater swim? gosh dern it, Judith-you are *obsessed* with swimming. Grumble. I'm going mt biking Monday, but you and Elaine should get all wet with the fishies! ;)

...this coming from the woman who mountain bikes every waking moment. By the way, you do have a tri coming up as well. Did anyone notice YOUR training schedule for Wildflower? Obessessed...hmmm...

Ah yes, the Training for Triathlon the Mountain Biking Way. :) Part of me kind of wants to swim on Monday, but the other part of me wants to go to Santa Teresa, or Saratga Gap and shred some dirt. Dilemma....Anyway we can combine the both????

And hey! I'm going to start a blog for you. :)
