A shout out to my tri buds

I've been sweating the Sea Otter course for months now. The only thing that got me to the starting line this morning was the thought of Judith standing at the oceans edge at Santa Cruz getting ready to swim around that big ol' ship. If you can swim around that ship, then I can ride a few hills.

And somewhere around mile thirteen when the rain started to fall, Elaine was there riding
63 wet, cold Cinderella miles.

If you two can hang in when the going gets tough, then how can I do any less and still face myself or y'all, the next day? Thanks tri chicks, you know you're loved, right?

And to my hubby who got up at 5:30 this morning and drove me down to do a race I wasn't sure I was going to do, then stood with me before the race and held my hand, and said all the right things as I freaked out, then waited for three hours in the car, packed up all my stuff in the rain and drove me home...I love you. You're like Gu for the soul. Are you ready to do it
all over again in four weeks?
