all about bikes

Riding around Santa Teresa this past week made me long for my inner roadie. This weekend I think it's time to pull on the lycra, take the road bike out and see how far I can go.

Speaking of bikes, we have a new addition to our two wheeled family. I broke the front fork on my Rockhopper this past weekend, and instead of spending the money to get it fixed, ended up with a new full suspension bike for Kurt.

This is his new Ironhorse maverick. It's a nice bike, a little heavy, but it'll suit him fine. Along with the injured Rockhopper, my Juliana is in the bike shop because the back shock is broken. I didn't break it though. It came with a faulty shock, so now I'm waiting for Fox to replace it. I'm hoping it won't take more than a week.

Gorgeous riding weather out there. Too bad I have to work.

Ack! How did you break a fork!

I guess it had been broken for sometime now. Actually I need to take it back to supergo and see if they will replace it under warranty. I've only had the bike for 8 months-the shock should last longer than that. Anyway, I went through 2 bikes in one weekend, that's a record! :)

Like Fishermen? We're old, wear yellow rubber raincoats, and smell like cod? Hmmm...
