Amgen Tour of California

The second stage went right by my house. I stood on the overpass for about an hour, then a bunch of bicyclists went by and we cheered, then we waited for another 10 minutes and another group went by and we cheered. Then 20 minutes later the last lone biker went by and I cheered extra loud 'cause believe me, I've been that last lone biker before. Then we all went home. Kind of exciting in a very subdued fashion.

One guy was there with his grandma who was an avid cyclist! Another mom brought four of her kids-they ran around tossing dirt at each other. There was also a group of business men in suits. Not sure where they came from, but they had binoculars, so they must have been into it. Also a few roadies, two on a tandem bike.
