Why do I tri?
When I ran I found out that my body was capable of doing more than I thought I ever could. I never thought I could run 12 miles and love it. I want to know what my body can do. I want the challenge.
Yesterday I ran on the treadmill for 30 minutes PAIN FREE! No twitches, twinges, pops or anything. My calf felt strong and more importantly it feels good today. No cramping, no aching. That 30 minutes was the best Christmas present EVER!
I'm repeating week five of training. I'm not ready to do 2 hours on the bike. Not sure were I would go! That takes some planning. Plus I am so not ready to do 2,500 yards of swimming.
So this week:
Swimming: 50 laps 3x this week. I'm trying to work up to 80 laps which is 2,000 yards.
Biking: 3 x's this week, cycling class. And a ride on Saturday.
Running: O frabjous day! Callo callay! ;) Two more times, depending on what PT says on Monday.
Strength training: weights 2x
Pilates/yoga: 2x
- Sunday: yoga, swimming
- Monday:Run, swim
- Tuesday: bike, weights
- Wednesday: Run, pilates
- Thursday:Bike, weights
- Friday:swim
- Saturday: bike ride
TO DO:
- take bike in to get computer fixed. And pedals looked at. Look at buying a truck carrier for bike.
- go to running shop to have them look at my shoes.
- plan ride for Saturday.
